5 Reasons Why People Remain Stuck in their Problems
Reason 1: How you define the problem
Through our work with over 3500 clients, we’ve come to learn that the reasons why people continue to be “stuck,” and continue to struggle with their problems, can be boiled down to 5 main reasons.
The first is how you define the problem. Sometimes the problem that we see is not the real problem. For example, some people smoke cigarettes. They know cigarettes are bad, and they define the problem as “I smoke.” However, the problem may be, in reality, that “I use smoking to de-stress, and I live a very stressful life, which is having very negative impacts on my health.”
If all you’re trying to fix is your smoking habit, you may just try quitting cold turkey and then wonder why you keep trying to quit.
However, if you learn that your smoking habit is caused by stress, then you can work on how you experience stress, as well as work to remove or alleviate stressors in your life. Then, once the cause is resolved, the symptom of the issue will be more easily fixed.
Hypnosis is a very effective tool to improve stress, anxiety, bad habits, stop smoking, and a variety of other problems. Do you have a bad habit that you’d like to fix?
